The route is centrally located in and around Buitrago y Lozoya.
The swimming will be in the Riosequillo reservoir. The transitions to the bicycle and the race on foot they will take place in transitions located in the Riosequillo swimming pools. Canal de Isabel II swimming pools are completely fenced in they provide bathrooms and showers to guarantee service to 1,000 athletes . The surface is enclosed and has a space of 250 meters long and 60 thick. Sufficient capacity to carry out with success and security both transitions. In this place is where the competition will happen twice on bicycle and three times on foot. Each time the athletes will carry out a turn on the race course and they will be given a colored bracelet when they have completed the third.
The bicycle race will leave from Buitrago for the M-126 road until Mangiron, which stretches and will be made in 2 directions so that it will be closed of entirely. Here they will take the M-135 to the Buitrago walls, after the M-127 to Serrada, Berzosa, and Robledillo de La Jara, Cervera de Buitrago and pass again by Mangiron until Buitrago, 2 turns in this direction will make 76 kilometers.In this circular route with the exception of the stretch understanding between Buitrago and Mangiron it will not be necessary to cut the traffic in its entirety, as only the lanes to the right of the race having the option to arrive and leave from all of the towns involved that guarantees the normal function of those during the event.
This bicycle leg has an accumulating height of 1,100 meters with continuous slides that will make this a hard section the triathletes will have to push their energy to the maximum.

The race on foot will be three turns passing by Buitrago de Lozoya, a path with little unevenness and with 50% asphalt and 50% pieces of hard road.
The finish line of the triathlon will be situated in the plaza of Villa Madrileña and joined with the medieval wall.
The profile corresponds to a turn from 2 programs. Each turn has a slope of 550 meters and is a continuous incline. Going down where there is hardly flat land.
The route is winding and with a lot of curves and yet it passes besides various precious towns and 2 spectacular reservoirs.
